Galungan and Kuningan
Frequently mentioned that the holiday is a day of victory of dharma Galungan against adharma or good against evil. However, as we know, too, this holiday is a day of decline in the ancestors of Khayangan / nirvana to visit the families and relatives.

Galungan and Kuningan of this feast day, usually every Hindus in Bali will go to pray at their family temple, and also in all the temples in their villages. Will look very festive at the time, because every person wearing Balinese traditional clothes, carrying offerings go to worship. At each entrance to the home page, also decorated with "Penjor" (curved bamboo adorned with young coconut leaf or leaf). The mothers usually prepare offerings far in advance.
One day before Galungan, a day "penampahan" or slaughter pigs. That's when people in groups, cut the pork and divide it to the next in take home and eat with the family. And the day after Galungan called the day "Umanis Galungan". On that day the people of Bali will usually visit each other with relatives family. or it may be said to stay in touch with each other.
Ten days after the day of Galungan, followed by a feast of "Kuningan", or the day the return of the ancestors to Khayangan / nirvana. Celebrations are not much different from the day of Galungan. Each person also went to pray to pretend to wear traditional clothes Bali.
